SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University's Ke'Aune Green has been named the 2026 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Freshman of the Year, helping punctuate a sweep of this year's major awards by the Raiders.

Voting is conducted by the league's head coaches.

Green was a two-time individual NCAA National Championships qualifier in his debut collegiate season, earning All-America Second Team honors in the 100 meters (15th place, 10.63 seconds) and competing in the 200 meters (17th place, 21.20 seconds).

As the anchor leg of Shippensburg's 4x100-meter relay, Green earned All-America First Team honors as the Raiders were the runner-up at this year's national championships – placing second with a time of 39.66 seconds. Ni'male Greenwood, Gabriel Lewis, Lavar Jackson and Green broke the 40-second mark in four consecutive races to conclude the season – marking the only four times that any PSAC school has broken 40 seconds in the 4x100-meter relay. The group reset the all-time PSAC record to 39.61 seconds during prelims at the conference championships.

During the regular season, Green broke the all-time PSAC record in the 200 meters – establishing a new personal best of 20.89 seconds at the Midweek PR Bonanza back in April at Seth Grove Stadium.

At the PSAC Championships, Green was named the 2026 PSAC Outdoor Championships Overall MVP for being the high-point scorer of the meet (22.5 points). He won the 200 meters in 20.96 seconds (after breaking the championships meet record during prelims with a time of 20.90 seconds), finished second in the 100 meters (10.41 seconds) and anchored the league record-setting 4x100-meter relay (39.88 in finals, league-record 39.61 in prelims).

Green is the first Raider to earn the PSAC Men's Outdoor Freshman (Rookie) of the Year award since Drew Dailey in 2021. He is just the fifth overall, with previous winners being Steve Waithe (2012), Herman Kirkland (2011) and Andrew Batula (2009). For context, the Freshman of the Year award was previously named the Rookie of the Year from 2005-08 and also for the post-COVID 2021 season when Dailey was honored.
