Brie Wilmot was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Softball Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office.
Wilmot reached base in half of her plate appearances this week, as SU went 2-2 with splits against regionally-ranked opponents Lock Haven and Kutztown.
Wilmot was 7-for-15 at the plate with three home runs, six RBIs, a hit by pitch and four runs scored. She struck out just once. Wilmot went 3-for-4 in Game 2 at Lock Haven recording her first home run of the weekend and two RBIs.
Her signature game was a two-homer, four RBI performance in the Game 1 win over Kutztown.
This marks the first PSAC Eastern Division Athlete of the Week award in Wilmot's career. This is the second week in a row that a Raider has received Athlete of the Week honors and the seventh overall weekly award of the season.
Wilmot is the sixth Raider to earn a weekly award this season after
Reagan Bauman (April 27),
Caitlyn Martell (April 6),
Gianna Cimino (March 9) and
Sarah Sabocsik (March 3) were named Athlete of the Week.
Dani Hayward has been named Pitcher of the Week twice this season (March 16 and March 30).
