Thomas Cano-Piszel,
Ty Sherman and
AJ Wenrich were named to the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Atlantic Region Team Wednesday.

Cano-Piszel and Sherman were selected to the All-Atlantic Region First Team. Wenrich was chosen for the Second Team.

Cano-Piszel's .415 batting average ranked eighth all-time in single-season program history, while his .714 slugging percentage was 10th best all-time among players with at least 100 at bats in a season.

The sophomore first baseman finished third in the conference in batting average while ranking second in the league in slugging percentage and OPS (1.196). He finished tied for fourth in the league – alongside Wenrich – with 11 regular season home runs.

He recorded two hitting streaks of 14 or more games and overall registered a hit in 39 of 43 games played.

Cano-Piszel is now consensus All-Region after being honored by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) and ABCA/Rawlings.

Sherman's .405 batting average ranked fourth in the PSAC. His 60 hits were just one shy of Cano-Piszel's team lead, while his 46 runs batted in were just one off the team lead.

The junior outfielder also shined in the postseason, recording a triple and a home run in SU's PSAC Tournament game against IUP.

Sherman was previously named to the 2026 D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team.

Wenrich drove in a team-best 47 runs (9th in the PSAC) in 2026. He concluded the season fourth in the league in slugging percentage (.680) and was tied for fourth in the league with 11 home runs. He produced a team-leading 27 extra-base hits and a .333 batting average.

The senior outfielder's career slugging percentage (.622) is second all-time in SU history among players with at least 300 career at bats. His 23 career home runs – accomplished in just two seasons – are the sixth most by a Raider all-time.

Wenrich was previously named 2026 NCBWA All-Atlantic Region First Team. He was also named D2CCA Second Team All-Region in 2025.
