SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University head women's soccer coach Rob Fulton has confirmed the recruitment of eight student-athletes who have agreed to attend the university and suit up for the Raider program during the 2026 season.
 
This year's recruiting class is comprised entirely of eight first-year student-athletes. Six of the newcomers hail from Pennsylvania, while two are from New Jersey.
 
"After a very productive and positive spring training season, we are extremely excited to welcome a very talented group of first year players into our program," stated head coach Rob Fulton. "Confidence is high as we expect a very good upcoming fall season and our hope is that this group of newcomers will adapt and become impactful members of SUWS."
 
Incoming freshman Lainey Werynski is the younger sister of current SU women's soccer forward Lannah Werynski. Two of the newcomers: Andrea Black and Claire Lerew, are former teammates at nearby Northern York High School. The duo led the Polar Bears to a 16-1-1 overall record last season.

About Black: Full name is Andrea Margaret Black…is the daughter of Aaron and Laura Black…has two sisters: Makaela and Nora, and a brother: Samuel.

Jackson Township High School: Earned four varsity letters for the Jaguars under head coach Sean Bayha…competed at the club level for Players Development Academy under coach Kevin McDermott…Ocean County Second Team All-Star…Honor Roll student…took numerous AP and Honors courses…ranked in the Top 60 of her class…graduated with a 4.2 GPA…earned four varsity letters as a swimmer.
