SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Four members of the Shippensburg University baseball team were named to All-Region squads recently released by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA).

Thomas Cano-Piszel and
AJ Wenrich were selected to the 2026 NCBWA All-Atlantic Region squad; Cano-Piszel,
Mason Morris and
Ty Sherman were named 2026 D2CCA All-Atlantic Region.

Wenrich, a senior, was selected to the NCBWA All-Atlantic Region First Team as an outfielder. Cano-Piszel, a sophomore, was named to the NCBWA All-Region Second Team as a first baseman.

Morris, a junior, was picked for the D2CCA All-Atlantic Region First Team as a utility (non-pitcher) player. Sherman, a junior outfielder, was tabbed for the D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team. Cano-Piszel was also named to the D2CCA Second Team.

The foursome represents the heart of the batting order for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference's (PSAC) best offense – a lineup which produced a league-best .335 team batting average.

Cano-Piszel's .415 batting average ranked eighth all-time in single-season program history, while his .714 slugging percentage was 10th best all-time among players with at least 100 at bats in a season.

He finished third in the conference in batting average while ranking second in the league in slugging percentage and OPS (1.196). He finished tied for fourth in the league – alongside Wenrich – with 11 regular season home runs.

He recorded two hitting streaks of 14 or more games and overall registered a hit in 39 of 43 games played.

Morris posted a .344 batting average and finished second on the team with a .482 on-base percentage while splitting time both behind the plate and as a designated hitter.
Â
Sherman's .405 batting average ranked fourth in the PSAC. Sherman tripled and homered in SU's PSAC Tournament game against IUP.

Wenrich drove in a team-best 47 runs (9th in the PSAC) in 2026. He concluded the season fourth in the league in slugging percentage (.680) and was tied for fourth in the league with 11 home runs. He produced a team-leading 27 extra-base hits and produced a .333 batting average.

Wenrich's .622 career slugging percentage is second all-time in SU history (among players with at least 300 career at bats). His 23 career home runs – accomplished in just two seasons – are the sixth most by a Raider all-time.

The foursome helped lead the Raiders to their fifth consecutive season of 26-plus wins.
Â
Morris and Wenrich are now a two-time All-Region selections. It is the first-ever All-Region recognition for Cano-Piszel and Sherman.
