SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University softball team earned the No. 1 seed in the 2026 NCAA Division II Softball Championships on Monday and will host the Atlantic 1 Regional pod that includes No. 4 seed Glenville State (45-14), No. 5 seed Charleston (45-16) and No. 8 seed Claflin (31-12).
Shippensburg (38-16), the 2026 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Champions, is appearing in its fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament. This is the 21st NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional appearance and the 22nd postseason appearance overall (SU competed in the AIAW Division III in 1982).
SU is 35-39 all-time in the NCAA Tournament, including 11-8 under Van Scyoc. The Raiders have won three NCAA Division II Regional Championships (2003, 2004, 2025).
East Stroudsburg (36-19) is the Atlantic Region's No. 2 seed and will host the Atlantic 2 Regional that features No. 3 Kutztown (35-20), No. 6 West Chester (30-25) and No. 7 Fairmont State (37-13).
