Shippensburg University had 12 of its student-athletes from winter sports named Tuesday morning to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Academic All-Conference Team.
Â
Per the PSAC, this new honor was created to increase academic recognition for high-achieving student-athletes – a priority for the league's members that was highlighted in its most
recent Strategic Plan. Academic All-Conference awards were chosen this past fall and will also be chosen in the spring.
Â
The PSAC is honoring track & field athletes (indoor and outdoor) during the spring awards season.
Â
Shippensburg's Winter 2026 Academic All-Conference award winners are as follows:
Â
Men's Basketball: Jackson Boone, Timmy Conner, Trey Martin
Â
Wrestling: Kyler Everly, Diesel Koser
Â
Men's Swimming: Robbie Ferlick, Mason Koeth, Connor Ludwig, Cooper Mercer
Â
Women's Swimming: Michelle Kubiak, Jenna Ober, Olivia Sitkowski
Â
To achieve an Academic All-Conference classification, a student-athlete must have completed both two seasons of athletic eligibility and four semesters academically with at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
Â
Additional criteria is based on participation that varies by sport. For what the PSAC designates a "team sport," (in this case, men's basketball), a student-athlete must have played in 70 percent of their team's games through the completion of the conference championship.
Â
For the purpose of Academic All-Conference honors, the PSAC defines swimming and track & field as "individual sports." The additional requirements for swimming are that eligible student-athlete must have achieved a PSAC qualifying standard in an individual event. For wrestling, an eligible student-athlete must have been in the starting lineup for 70 percent of a team's dual meets.
Â
Recognition is based solely on meeting the above criteria. GPAs were calculated through the previous completed semester (Fall 2025).
