SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University senior Caitlyn Martell was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Softball Co-Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office.
 
In a 4-4 week for the Raiders, Martell hit .414 (12-for-29) with a home run, two doubles and five RBIs. She struck out just once and had a .586 slugging percentage.
 
She had a hit in seven of the team's eight games this week, including a season-high 4-4 performance in a Game 1 win at Millersville. She was 4-for-8 with two doubles and three RBIs in a road Saturday sweep at Kutztown.
 
Martell shares the Athlete of the Week honor with Kutztown's Emily Henn, who recorded 14 hits in a 4-4 week for the Golden Bears.
 
The weekly award is the first of the season for Martell and the third overall of her career. She was previously named Athlete of the Week on March 17, 2025 and April 10, 2023. This marks the fifth weekly award for the Raiders this season.
