SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University lacrosse team had three of its players selected to the 2026 All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Teams announced Wednesday afternoon, highlighted by senior Grace DeMarzio being named the Eastern Division Defensive Athlete of the Year.

DeMarzio and midfielder Ali Pioli were named to the All-PSAC Eastern Division First Team, while midfielder Brynn Hauck was named to the All-PSAC Eastern Division Second Team.

It is the third All-PSAC classification of DeMarzio's career (2025 First Team, 2024 Second Team), the second of Pioli's career (2025 Second Team), and the first of Hauck's career.

DeMarzio is the first Raider in school history to be named the PSAC Eastern Division Defensive Athlete of the Year (the award was first instituted in 2022). She finished the regular season ranked third in the PSAC in groundballs/game (3.47), fifth in the PSAC in caused turnovers/game (2.41) and ninth in the PSAC in draw controls/game (4.29).

Her 43 caused turnovers this season are tied for the second-most in school history; her 74 draw controls rank fourth in single-season school history, while her 64 groundballs are tied for the fourth most in a single season. All three of those totals are single-season career highs.

Overall, DeMarzio is just the fourth Raider to be named a PSAC Athlete of the Year in any capacity – joining Overall Athletes of the Year Hannah Seifried (2021), Page Heath (2002) and Courtney Colbert (1995). DeMarzio completes her Raider career ranked third in school history for career caused turnovers (103), fourth in career groundballs (177) and fourth in career draw controls (209).

Pioli delivered another incredibly consistent season from the midfield, totaling 23 goals (fourth on the team), 20 assists (second on the team), a career-high 22 caused turnovers (tied for third on the team), 38 groundballs (second on the team) and 45 draw controls (second on the team).

In yesterday's conference quarterfinal, Pioli tied the school record for career starts – she started all 69 games in which she played for the Raiders. Pioli finishes among SU's all-time Top 10 career leaders in four major categories: third in career draw controls (236), fourth in career assists (71), sixth in career caused turnovers (75) and ninth in career groundballs (145). Her 140 career points rank 15th in school history.

Hauck delivered 33 goals (second on the team) to complement well-rounded production from the midfield that includes 22 caused turnovers (tied for third on the team), 25 draw controls (third on the team) and 30 groundballs. Among her standout performances this season was a five-goal game at Lock Haven in which she scored the game winner in overtime.

It is the second straight season in which a Raider has earned one of the PSAC East's major awards; Brooke DellaValle was named the Coach of the Year in 2025.

East Stroudsburg's Sadie Kauffman was named the PSAC Eastern Division Athlete of the Year and Warrior bench boss Xeni Barakos-Yoder was named PSAC Eastern Division Coach of the Year. West Chester's Marissa Herring was named the PSAC Eastern Division Freshman of the Year.
