SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Students came together in February for Gatorade Fest, an annual pong tournament that mixes competition with giving back. The event was organized by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) along with Fraternity & Sorority Life, the Connection AOD Program, the Wellness Center and the PAGE Center.
This year, over 50 teams competed in the tournament, helping raise more than $500, with a portion of the proceeds donated to The Harbor, a sober bar in Shippensburg that provides a safe, alcohol-free space for those pursuing sobriety.
Teams played throughout the night in a Gatorade pong format, creating a fun, high-energy atmosphere while keeping the focus on a safe, substance-free event.
"Gatorade Fest was a huge success this year, I'm very proud of SAAC for running this event every year and supporting The Harbor," said SAAC President
Savannah Silvestre. "It's my hope that this event continues to grow and inspire others to make a difference in the community."
Gatorade Fest continues to be a way for students across campus to connect, compete, and support a bigger cause, making it one of the more unique and engaging events each year.
