SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University freshman Ke'Aune Green was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Co-Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.

Green broke the all-time PSAC record in the 200 meters with a time of 20.89 seconds and ran the second-fastest time in school history in the 100 meters by running 10.28 seconds competing at the SU Mid-Week Invitational on Thursday.

His day began with the 100 meters. Running in the same heat in which Gabriel Lewis broke the all-time PSAC record, Green broke Lewis's old 100-meter school record by running 10.28 seconds. It was just the second time in college that Green had run an individual 100-meter dash. The time was an improvement of .27 seconds from his first go-around two weeks ago at George Mason.

In his second race of the day, Green grabbed sole possession of the PSAC's 200-meter record by improving his PR to 20.89 seconds. It took Green just four collegiate meets to become the fastest 200-meter runner in the history of the PSAC. The performance moves him out of the tie with Mansfield's Cahsid Raymond that he achieved four days earlier at Bucknell.

Green moved all the way up to 12th on the NCAA Division II leaderboard in the 100 meters and currently sits 14th on the NCAA Division II performance list for the 200 meters with his conference record, giving him two Top 15 national marks in the span of three hours.

It is the first weekly award of Green's career. He shares the honor with Lewis, making it the first known occurrence that two Shippensburg athletes have shared the award in the same week.
