RECAP: Green grabs share of PSAC record in 200, Lewis enhances his 100-meter record Sunday at Bucknell

Green matches Mansfield’s Cahsid Raymond by running 20.96 seconds; Lewis improves to 10.31 seconds

4/12/2026 7:02:00 PM

Ke'Aune Green equaled the all-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) record in the 200 meters with a new school record Sunday while Gabriel Lewis enhanced his own school record in the 100 meters to cap off a wicked weekend for the Shippensburg University men's outdoor track & field team at the prestigious Bison Outdoor Classic held at Bucknell's Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.

Green became the first Raider in school history to break the 21-second mark in the 200 meters by running 20.96 seconds, finishing second out of 80 competitors in the field. He equals the all-time conference record set last season at the PSAC Outdoor Championships by Mansfield's Cahsid Raymond while surpassing the SU record of Chris Craig (21.18 seconds) that was set in 2017.

It was Green's third collegiate outdoor 200-meter dash – he had run 21.32 seconds and 21.34 seconds his first two times out.

The performance ties for 18th on the current NCAA Division II national performance list.

Lewis enhanced his school record in the 100 meters by .02 seconds – sprinting to the fastest time in the field after crossing the finish line in 10.31 seconds. The run came amidst a completely neutral wind (0.0 wind reading) and broke the stadium record.

His latest NCAA provisional qualifier also enhances his current standing on the NCAA Division II performance list to a tie for 13th. Lewis is now second in the Atlantic Region in the 100 meters, trailing only Virginia State's Leonie Bentley (10.27 seconds).

The day began with Ni'male Greenwood, Lewis, Lavar Jackson and Green breaking the stadium record in the 4x100-meter relay, winning the event with a time of 40.37 seconds. The quartet broke the all-time PSAC record in the event last weekend at George Mason by running 40.06 seconds.

Isaiah Brightman improved his season best in the 110-meter hurdles to 15.02 seconds with a strong performance on Sunday. Brightman, in his first season with the Raiders, came within three-tenths of a second of his collegiate PR achieved last season at Virginia Commonwealth.

In the open 100, Greenwood ran 10.74 seconds while Jackson picked up his PSAC qualifier with a time of 10.94 seconds. Travis Wilk completed the 400-meter hurdles in 56.40 seconds while Brightman ran 56.72 seconds.

Other track action included Parker Smith coming within .05 seconds of the PSAC qualifier in the 200, running 21.95 seconds. Smith is seeking to qualify in the 200 after already having earned a conference qualifier in the 400 meters.

Field event competition was highlighted by Jackson Hersh and Aiden Zimmerman, who exceled in the javelin. The two men placed third and fifth respectively. Hersh has had a top throw of 204 feet or better in all three of his meets thus far in 2026. His top mark Sunday traveled 207 feet (63.09 meters).

Zimmerman, meanwhile, has put forth the top two efforts of his collegiate career over back-to-back weeks, with his throw on Sunday being his best yet. He exceeded the 200-foot mark for the first time, launching a throw of 202 feet, 8 inches (61.78 meters) for an excellent new personal best. Last week, Zimmerman landed a new PR of 197 feet, 11 inches (60.33 meters) – which itself was an eight-foot PR.

Elsewhere in the field, Gian Greggo and Ridge Crispino fouled their three attempts in the hammer throw, while Jabrie Gaymon was unable to record a legal mark in the triple jump.

Shippensburg returns to action Thursday when it hosts one of the finest collegiate track meets that Cumberland County has to offer – Uncle Dave's Midweek PR Bonanza at Seth Grove Stadium. The throwing events will begin at 2 p.m. while the majority of the meet commences at 3 p.m.
