Shippensburg University's Shaela Kruskie was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.

On Friday night in the rain and the cold at Lynchburg, Kruskie won the 10K at the Dr. Jack M. Toms Alumni Invitational with a sensational PR. She used a strong kick to win the race in a new personal-best time of 36:26.16 that ranks her No. 8 all-time in school history in the 10K.

The time currently leads the PSAC by two minutes.

Friday night's race was just the third career 10K for Kruskie – who enhanced her previous best by an incredible three minutes and 14 seconds.

It is Kruskie's first career weekly award in either outdoor track & field, indoor track & field or cross country.

Kruskie is the first Raider to be named the PSAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week since Leah Graybill on April 9, 2024. She is the first Raider distance runner to earn the award since Casey Norton on April 4, 2017.
