Ariel Jones '22 went off for 36 points to help BK SK UMB Banska Bystrica to a 77-56 win over Samorin Saturday in the Slovakian Extraliga.
Jones, the all-time leading scorer in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), converted 11 of her 24 shot attempts (46 percent), including five of 11 from three-point range (45 percent). She also contributed seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block.
Jones joined the Slovakian club in March for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. Through her first four games, she is averaging 21.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
Bankstra Bystica is also 4-0 with Jones in the lineup.
Jones previously spent time competing in Puerto Rico's Baloncesto Superior Nacional Femenino (BSNF) and was a member of the Puerto Rican National Team for the 2024 FIBA Centrobasket Women's Championship held in Irapuato, Mexico.
At Shippensburg, Jones was the program's all-time leading scorer (2,806 points) and a three-time All-American. She was a two-time PSAC Player of the Year and a 4-time All-PSAC First Team selection.
