SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University's
Gian Greggo was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
Greggo, a 2026 NCAA Indoor All-America Second Team performer in the shot put, began his outdoor season with a personal best of 57 feet, 11 inches (17.65 meters) that stands as the No. 2 mark all-time in SU outdoor history and is an NCAA provisional qualifier.
He won both the shot put and the hammer throw (PSAC qualifier of 168 feet, 4 inches (51.32 meters); the No. 3 mark in PSAC thus far) at the Keystone Challenge on Saturday.
It is the first career outdoor weekly award for Greggo and his third overall when including two awards he earned in the 2026 indoor season.
Greggo is the first Raider to earn the PSAC Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week award since Josh Herbster on April 30, 2024.
