PREVIEW: Greggo, Lewis to rep Men’s Indoor Track & Field at 2026 NCAA National Championships

Both Raiders will be making their respective debuts at the NCAA national championships

Shippensburg University's Gian Greggo and Gabriel Lewis are in Virginia Beach to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships.
 
The following is a breakdown and a schedule of the Raiders who will be in action this week:
 
Friday (3/13): 3:15 PM EDT (Prelims)
Saturday (3/14): 4:10 PM EDT (Finals)
Gabriel Lewis • Men's 60 Meters
 
NCAA History: 1st NCAA Appearance
Assignment: Heat 1/3, Lane 3
Finals Qualification: Top 2 times from each of the three heats, plus the next two fastest overall times
PR: 6.66 seconds (School Record)
2026 Laurels: 2nd place (All-PSAC) at the 2026 PSAC Championships…school record set at Penn State's Sykes and Sabock Challenge
 
Lewis on NCAAs: "I've been involved with sports my whole life and I've grown up watching the national championships in different sports at all levels. For me to be a part of that and not just watch it – to literally be there – it means everything to me.
 
[Track] is an individual sport and it's a mental sport. My mindset is going to be the same as it usually is, that there is nobody better than me and whatever happens, happens. I truly believe that I can do well at this meet."

NCAA History: 1st NCAA Appearance
Assignment: No. 9 thrower (out of nine total) in first of two flights
PR: 60-0.25 (18.29 meters) (School Record)
2026 Laurels: 2nd place (All-PSAC) at the 2026 PSAC Championships…school record set at Penn State's Sykes and Sabock Challenge
 
Greggo on NCAAs: "This is everything that I have worked for. I know that when I go there and compete against some of the best in the country that I belong there. I've thrown just as far as the other guys and I think I can make something happen, so I'm excited."
