The Shippensburg University men's indoor track & field team split its squad again this week and had a small contingent compete at Susquehanna University's River Hawk Friday Night Showdown held inside the Garrett Sports Complex Field House.
 
Ridge Crispino finished second in the weight throw with a new season-best of 51 feet, 9 ¼ inches (15.78 meters) that resulted in second place. It improves his already-obtained Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships automatic qualifier. Josh Durika improved his season best in the weight throw to 48 feet, 1 ¼ inches (14.66 meters).
 
Gilberto Raphael Ramos won the pole vault competition by clearing the bar at 14 feet, 3 ¼ inches (4.35 meters). Joe Ryan cleared 13 feet, 9 ¼ inches (4.20 meters).
 
Heptathletes Tyler Rossi and Noah Bankert competed in several events on the night. Rossi once again impressed in the long jump, finishing second on a top mark of 21 feet, 11 ¾ inches (6.70 meters), while landing a PR in the shot of 42 feet, 4 inches (12.90 meters). He also improved his season best in the pole vault to 11 feet, 9 ¾ inches (3.60 meters).
 
Kyle Baker and Ben Devine went 1-2 in the 3K, posting respective times of 9:11.61 and 9:24.01.
 
Travis Wilk paced the Raiders in the 400 with a fourth-place time of 52.44 seconds – it was his first time running the open 400 this season. James Jaisingh was one place behind and improved his season best to 52.83 seconds.
 
Another contingent of the team is in action tomorrow at Penn State's Sykes & Sabock Invitational.
