SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University wrestling team posted victories at six different weight classes to defeat nonconference foe Felician in a tightly-contested dual meet Wednesday at Heiges Field House, 26-23.

Shippensburg (6-10) led Felician (3-9) by just a single point, 18-17, entering the final three weight classes. Knowing the match at heavyweight was likely a forfeit, the bouts at 184 and 197 pounds became integral.

Cole Lang and Diesel Koser delivered. Lang scored a decisive second period takedown to win an intense 4-2 decision over Felician's Riley Boos at 184 pounds, and Koser dominated his opponent on his way to a 15-0 tech fall at 197.

Victories by Colin Marano, Cole Coffin, Mike Trainor and and Nick Delp set the stage for their teammates' clutch late wins.

Marano made a 10-point first period stand up in an 11-8 decision over Felician's Marcus Lowry at 125. Coffin picked up a forfeit win at 141 and Trainor earned important bonus points with a highlight reel-worthy slam and pin at 149.

Lastly, Delp outlasted Felician's Jeremy Quezada at 165. Scoreless after two periods, the ninth-ranked wrestler nationally in his weight class picked up an escape, a takedown and a riding time point in the last two minutes to earn a hard-fought 5-0 decision.

Shippensburg next welcomes Kutztown to a Heiges Field House for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) dual Friday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.
