SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University wrestling head coach
Seth Bloomquist has been nominated for the 2026 Bob Bubb Coaching Excellence Award, a prestigious honor issued annually by the National Wrestling Coaching Association (NWCA).
Bloomquist is one of five nominees representing Super Region 1. It is the third straight season (and fifth time overall) that Bloomquist has been nominated for the award, having been named a finalist in 2019, 2022, 2024 and 2025.
Bloomquist is in his 17th season as head coach in 2025-26 and his 21st season overall with the Raiders.
The Bob Bubb Coaching Excellence award is presented annually to an outstanding coach who epitomizes the qualities and characteristics of a role model and mentor for developing young student-athletes.
The award is named after long time Clarion wrestling coach and National Wrestling Hall of Fame member Bob Bubb, who coached Bloomquist during his time with the Golden Eagles.
