SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University field hockey team has been recognized for its academic success in the classroom as a recipient of a 2025 National Academic Team Award from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).
 
The NFHCA team award acknowledges programs that have achieved a team grade-point average of a 3.5 or higher during the fall semester. This year, 19 Division II programs were recognized with the award.
 
SU was one of seven Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) schools to be honored.
