SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Seven members of the Shippensburg University field hockey team were honored on Friday as National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II Scholars of Distinction.

Shippensburg's 2025 Scholars of Distinction are
Carme Caracotche Picone,
Madison Fissel,
Elaina Fragassi,
Anne Gardner,
Gabby Gober,
Ava Kientzy and
Kelly Naudé.
This NFHCA award program recognizes exceptional undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the fall semester and were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.

The seven Scholars of Distinction are tied for the second-most in a single season in the history of SU field hockey program.

The NFHCA recognized 144 outstanding undergraduate student-athletes overall as 2025 Division II Scholars of Distinction.
