SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's soccer saw its two senior goalkeepers combine for a clean sheet during an inspired Senior Day victory over East Stroudsburg, 1-0, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action on a picturesque autumn afternoon at David See Field.
Shippensburg (4-6-5, 3-6-0) senior netminders
Ryan Krumenacker and
Jack McCann each played 45 minutes in goal and combined to turn aside six East Stroudsburg (6-5-5, 4-2-3) shots on goal, while
Kyle Ganley tallied the 59th-minute winner.
The Raiders won their second straight PSAC East match following their 2-1 win at Bloomsburg Wednesday and successfully avenged a 6-1 loss to ESU in the previous meeting this season. SU's three PSAC East wins in 2026 mark their most conference victories in a season since 2018.
McCann came on at halftime following a scoreless opening 45 minutes and helped set up Ganley's game-winner.
The senior sent a goal kick in the direction of
Anthony Weekley on the left wing. The Raider forward settled the longball and delivered a ball over the top of the ESU backline.
SU speedster Ganley got to the ball first, delicately chipping a shot over the onrushing ESU goalkeeper for his team-leading fourth goal of the season to put the hosts in front, 1-0.
McCann also recorded the game's best save, tipping a laser from ESU's Steven Arias over the bar as the Warriors increased their attacking pressure late in the contest.
McCann finished with four saves. Krumenacker played the first half and posted a pair of stops.
Both teams registered six shots on goal, while ESU maintained a 7-to-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Before kickoff, SU recognized its eight-man senior class:
Evan Brandt,
Maddox Davies,
Cam Henry, Krumenacker, McCann,
Coy Rush,
Love Thoren and
John Trigg.
The Raiders will conclude their season at Millersville Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m.
