Wilson Ingerski was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Special Teams Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office.
Â
Battling through an injury in Saturday's 35-27 victory at Millersville, Ingerski was integral to the cause on special teams. Â Of his five punts, four landed inside the 20-yard line and three of those four required fair catches.
Â
His only punt that didn't end up inside the 20-yard line was arguably his most valuable, however, as Ingerski palmed his first kick attempt in order to sidestep two oncoming Marauders. He not only avoided having the kick blocked, but he managed to boot the ball 26 yards downfield. Ingerski was also 5-for-5 on extra points.
Â
Ingerski is the first Raider to earn the award this season and it is the first PSAC Eastern Division Special Teams Athlete of the Week award of his career. The last Raider to be named the PSAC Eastern Division Special Teams Athlete of the Week was
Ty Neal on November 10 of last season after the Week 10 victory over West Chester.
