Ke'Aune Green earned Track MVP honors and Gian Greggo improved his shot put PR for the third straight meet as the Shippensburg University men's indoor track & field team placed third at the Art Gulden Invitational, a scored meet hosted by Bucknell.

Green won the 200 meters with a time of 22.05 seconds and placed third in the 60-meter dash finals with a time of 6.85 seconds that matches his collegiate best which ranks tied for ninth in school history.

SU's short sprinters once again had a strong day, as Gabriel Lewis finished second to Kutztown's Michael Fellin in the 60 by running another NCAA provisional qualifier of 6.77 seconds, and Ni'male Greenwood posted Top 5 finishes in both events (6.91 in 60, 22.36 in 200).

Quinton Townsend and Lavar Jackson ran 22.38 seconds and 22.53 seconds respectively, giving the Raiders four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships automatic qualifiers in the 200.

Greggo once again delivered NCAA provisional qualifiers in both of his throws; he won Saturday's shot put competition with a throw of 57 feet, 7 ¾ inches (17.57 meters). It further affirms his No. 3 all-time ranking in the Raider record books and is an improvement of 1 ¼ inches (.03 meters) from his throw last week at Alvernia.

In the weight throw, Greggo delivered another marvelous effort with a fifth-place heave of 62 feet, 11 ½ inches (19.19 meters). Lock Haven's Eric Zalar and ESU's Anthony Voto stole the headlines, however, as both broke the 16-year-old PSAC all-time record of ESU's Paul Wagner (66 feet, 3 ¾ inches) with their respective throws. Zalar's winning throw traveled 67 feet, 2 inches (20.47 meters) and ranks fifth in the country.

The majority of the mid-distance and distance squad trained through this week, but of those in action, Ben Hummel impressed with a fourth-place time in the mile of 4:20.95 and Brennan Wellock took second in the 3K by crossing the finish line in 8:50.51. Both times are PSAC qualifiers that have them among the Top 5 of the league leaderboard in each event.

While several other competitors came close to their season bests, a total of 15 individual performances satisfied the PSAC Championships qualifying standards.

The Raiders finished third in the team standings, totaling 91 points. The host Bison won with 166 points, while Binghamton was second with 107.5 points.

Shippensburg heads right back to Lewisburg next weekend for the two-day Bison Open & Multi beginning Friday.
