SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University redshirt-junior Markus Frank was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
 
Frank averaged 19.3 points and 5.6 boards in a 2-1 week for the Raiders. He eclipsed the 20-point mark in both Raider victories, a 65-60 win over Kutztown Wednesday and an 82-80 thriller against East Stroudsburg Saturday.
 
Against Kutztown, Frank finished with a game-high 23 points, scoring 14 in the second half. He was 8-of-15 from the field and 6-of-8 at the free-throw line.
 
Frank scored 20 points on 7-of-15 from the field and 5-of-5 at the free-throw line against ESU. Frank added six rebounds and two assists.
 
He paced the Raiders in scoring in both contests and has scored 20 or more points in 11 games this season.
 
It is the third conference weekly recognition for Frank this season and the fifth overall in his Raider career. He was previously named the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week on Jan. 5, 2026 and East Athlete of the Week on Nov. 19, 2025, Nov. 19, 2024 and Dec. 4, 2023.
