SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's basketball team could not hold a halftime lead in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division setback against Millersville Tuesday at Heiges Field House, 79-59.

Shippensburg (1-14, 0-8 PSAC) shot 52.4 percent from the field and committed just one turnover to lead Millersville (7-7, 3-5) after the first quarter, 24-17, and maintained a one-point advantage at the halfway point, 34-33.

Forward Michelle Olak scored nine of the first 12 points of the contest to help stake Shippensburg to an early advantage. She finished with a game-high 18 points and pulled down five rebounds.

Millersville took control after halftime, ripping off a 16-0 run coming out of the locker room. The Marauders clamped down on the Raiders defensively, not allowing a field goal until an Olak layup with 4:23 left in the third quarter. Millersville went 4-for-4 from beyond the arc quarter and outscored the Raiders 27-10 overall in the frame.

Millersville shot 53.8 percent (7-for-13) from three-point range for the game. Daniella Ranieli and Bryn Zentner each scored 16 points to lead the Marauders. Carley Berk finished with 14 points and four assists.

For Shippensburg, Abbie Johns joined Olak in double figures with 12 points. Kiara Hardy recorded a career-high six steals, marking the first six-steal game by a SU player since Ariel Jones had 7 steals against Kutztown on March 1, 2023. Hardy also added six points and four assists.
