SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's swim team begins the 2025-26 season with a dual meet at Kutztown on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 5 p.m.

Schedule

Following a pair of road dual meets at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) foes Kutztown and Bloomsburg, the Raiders will welcome IUP to Donald N. Miller Pool for their home opener Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 5 p.m.

SU also hosts Pitt-Johnstown for a dual meet on Saturday, Oct. 18.

The fall portion of the schedule concludes with two big invitational meets, the F&M Invitational Nov. 21-23 and the Gettysburg Invitational Dec. 5-6.

After the holiday break, the Raiders will return to competition with a home meet against Edinboro Jan. 9, as well as another key season benchmark – the Navy Invitation Jan. 31 in Annapolis.

SU swimming's six-month long journey then culminates with the 2026 PSAC Swimming Championships held Feb. 18-21 at the Graham Aquatic Center in York.

Roster

Shippensburg enters the 2025 season with 17 swimmers, an increase from previous seasons. SU returns 11 swimmers from the 2024-25 roster. New to the pool are five first-year recruits and one graduate transfer.

Four swimmers are operating as seniors in 2025: Carter Hawkes, Kevin Noldy, graduate transfer Josh Wall and Nate Wauls.

From an athletic eligibility perspective, the team has four seniors, five juniors, three sophomores, and five freshmen.

Coaching Staff

Tim Verge returns for his 27th season as Shippensburg University's head coach in 2025-26 and assistant coach Jen Flinchbaugh returns for her 10th season.

Notes

SU finished in sixth place in the team standings at last season's PSAC Swimming Championships.

Noldy and sophomore Josh Einolf placed the highest out of all returning swimmers at the conference meet, netting separate ninth-place individual finishes. Einolf placed ninth in the 100-yard butterfly and ranks second all-time in program history in that event. Noldy netted a ninth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.

The Raiders return three-fourths of a pair of record-setting relays in 2025-26.

Noldy, Robbie Ferlick, Connor Ludwig and the since-graduated Nathan VanNatter set a new school mark in the 200-free relay at last winter's PSAC meet. Mason Koeth, Einolf, Ferlick and VanNatter posted a new school record in the 200-yard medley relay at the 2025 conference championships

Koeth also owns an individual school record in the 200-yard freestyle (1:40.25), while Ferlick currently ranks second in program history in the 50-yard freestyle (20.72) and 100-yard freestyle (45.62).

Ferlick (12th in the 50 free, 18th in the 100 free), Hawkes (13th in 1,650 free, 16th in the 1,000 free) and sophomore Alex Kissinger (12th in the 200-yard butterfly) also scored for the Raiders at the conference meet last season.

Koeth placed fifth in 200 free and 15th in the 100 fly at the 2024 Championships.
