SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University football team was voted seventh in the 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Preseason Coaches' Poll released Thursday afternoon by the conference office.
 
The preseason coaches' poll is selected by the league's coaches and was announced through the league's social media channels. The conference does not allow coaches to vote for their own team in the preseason polls.
 
Kutztown, the 2024 PSAC champions, received seven of the eight first-place votes from Eastern Division coaches and sits atop the 2025 preseason poll. East Stroudsburg, coming off a 10-2 season in 2024, garnered a single first-place vote. West Chester, Shepherd, Bloomsburg, Lock Haven and Millersville round out the Eastern Division preseason coaches' poll.
 
Shippensburg posted a 2-9 record last season. The Raiders return 42 letterwinners from last season, including 15 starters.
 
Players arrive for preseason camp on Tuesday, Aug. 12. The Raiders open the 2025 season Saturday, Sept. 6 against Bowie State at Seth Grove Stadium.
