The Shippensburg University men's cross country team was voted atop the 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll released Wednesday afternoon by the conference office.
 
The preseason coaches' poll is selected by the league's coaches and was announced through the league's social media channels. The conference does not allow coaches to vote for their own team in the preseason polls.
 
SU has won back-to-back conference championships. The Raiders received the maximum number of first-place votes (14). East Stroudsburg received the other first-place vote and is in the No. 2 position in the poll. Slippery Rock, Kutztown and Lock Haven round out the Top 5.
 
Shippensburg begins the 2025 season on Friday, Sept. 5 when it hosts the Galen Piper Alumni Open and Cross Country Challenge. The event will take place under the lights at the SU recreation complex and pavilion.
