Shippensburg University men's basketball head coach Chris Fite has been selected to the inaugural class of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Hall of Fame.

Fite, a star on the hardwood and 1992 graduate of the University of Rochester, is one of 36 inductees (25 student-athletes across all sports) to comprise the first-ever class representing one of NCAA Division III's premier conferences.

Fite is Rochester's all-time leading scorer, having accrued 2,066 points during his four seasons with the Yellowjackets. He led Rochester to the 1990 NCAA Division III Championship – the only national title in school history – and was named the Most Outstanding Player at the 1990 Division III Final Four.

The Rochester forward lifted his team to the title game again in 1992 and was named to the All-Tournament Team that season.

Fite was a National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-American in 1991 and 1992 and a two-time UAA Player of the Year.

In 11 seasons at the helm at Shippensburg, Fite has compiled a 193-131 record. During his tenure, he has established the Raiders as one of the best and most consistent programs in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), achieving 19 or more victories in seven campaigns. The Raiders' accomplishments under Fite include a PSAC title (2016-17) and a trip to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16 (2017-18).
