The Shippensburg University women's soccer team was voted seventh in the 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Preseason Coaches' Poll released Tuesday afternoon by the conference office.
The preseason coaches' poll is selected by the league's coaches and was announced through the league's social media channels. The conference does not allow coaches to vote for their own team in the preseason polls.
Shepherd, coming off a PSAC Tournament title and an NCAA Division II quarterfinal appearance, received seven of the nine first-place votes from Eastern Division coaches and sit at the number one spot on the 2025 preseason poll. West Chester and Kutztown were voted second and third in the East, respectively, with both teams garnering a single first-place vote.
Shippensburg is coming off a 5-8-5 campaign last season, including a 5-6-5 mark in conference – the club's second most points (20) in PSAC play since the 2016 season.
The Raiders begin their 2025 campaign Thursday, Sept. 4 at 4:30 p.m. against Goldey-Beacom at David See Field.
