SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University Women's Tennis trio of senior
Yasmin De Meyer, sophomore
Janelle Kingsboro and senior
Brooklynn Rupert were each named 2025 Division II Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athletes Tuesday.
Additionally, the SU Women's Tennis squad was tabbed as a 2025 Division II Women's ITA All-Academic Team.
Student-athletes must have a GPA of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the 2024-25 academic year to be considered for the ITA Scholar-Athlete award.
Kingsboro is a two-time ITA All-Academic Team member, while De Meyer and Rupert are first-time honorees.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team GPA of 3.2 or above.
In 2025, 705 Division II women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 104 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
