SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University head tennis coach Dylan Curtis has confirmed the recruitment of two student-athletes who have each agreed to attend the university and will suit up for the Raider tennis program for the 2025-26 season.
 
The recruiting class features one domestic player from Pennsylvania and one international, hailing from India.
 
The pair will join an improving Raider squad that won eight matches in 2024-25, its most in a single season in 24 years (15 in 2000-01).
 
"We are excited to welcome the two new members of our program. They will provide great depth and competition to our roster," Curtis stated. "We can't wait to continue growing the Ship tennis program with these two amazing student-athletes."

Samhitha Koganti
Vizag, India/Apple I EM School
 
Apple I EM School: Competed in seven International Tennis Federation (ITF) Tournaments, reaching the quarterfinals in two of them…won three Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) Tournaments…reached an ITF junior rank of 3800.
 
About Koganti: Full name is Samhitha Koganti…is the daughter of Lenin Banu Koganti and Deepthi Adusumalli…has a sister, Raajitha.
 
Taylor Maguire
Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown
 
Pottstown High School: Competed at 1st and 2nd singles for the Trojans under head coach Sean McNamara…completed at the club level under coach Corey Bowlin…district qualifier…placed fifth at the Pioneer Athletic Conference (PAC 10) doubles…finished in the top-10 of her class…maintained a 4.2 GPA…National Honor Society…also competed in softball and girl's wrestling.
