Dustin Sleva '18 with join Lithuanian club Zalgiris Kaunas for the 2025-26 season, as announced late last week.
Zalgiris Kaunas won the Lithuanian Basketball League in 2024-25. As champions, they qualify to compete in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague in 2025-26, the highest level of competition in Europe.
"Joining Zalgiris is a huge opportunity for me. I have heard nothing but good things about the club and the fans. I am ready to give my all and fight for the team in the upcoming season. I believe we can do a lot together," Sleva said.
Sleva is coming off back-to-back seasons of leading clubs to their respective domestic league finals, helping Turkish club Besiktas Fibabanka to a runner-up finish in 2024-25 after doing the same with Spanish outfit UCAM Murcia in 2023-24.
In 42 domestic league games for Besiktas this past season, Sleva averaged 11 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals. He also shot 59.8% from the field and 45.3% from three-point range.
He also averaged 10.3 points per game in EuroCup competition. His 1.8 steals per game was tops in the tournament.
Sleva was named to the Eurobasket.com All-Turkish League All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week.
A program-changing player for the Raiders, Sleva helped SU ascend from a 13-win team during his freshman season to campaigns of 27 and 25-wins in his final two years, including a PSAC title-winning season in 2016-17.
He remains the program's all-time leading scorer (2,071 points) and rebounder (1,140 rebounds).
