SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University baseball team had six of its players named to the 2025 All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Team Tuesday, highlighted by graduate
Jaxon Dalena winning East Pitcher of the Year.
Dalena, senior outfielder
Gio Calamia and sophomore catcher
Mason Morris were each named to the All-PSAC Eastern Division First Team.
Senior shortstop
Carter Hinds, junior relief pitcher
Jack Robinson and junior utility player
AJ Wenrich earned a spot on the East Second Team.
Voting for the All-PSAC squad is conducted by the league's head coaches. SU's six All-PSAC players are its most since 2018. Dalena and Hinds are now two-time All-PSAC selections, while Calamia, Morris, Robinson and Wenrich are all first-time All-Conference honorees.
Dalena cemented himself as one of the best starting pitchers in program history in 2025 and became the first Raider to be named Pitcher of the Year since the 2008 season (Matt Wright).
Dalena paced the conference with 77.0 innings pitched and 94 strikeouts – a strikeout total that currently ranks sixth all-time in SU single season history. He ranked second in the conference during the regular season in opposing batting average (.210), third in wins (8), and placed seventh among qualified pitchers with a 3.04 ERA.
He authored a stretch in April of four consecutive complete game victories in conference play, two of which came against ranked opponents. He fanned six-or-more batters in 11 of his 13 outings.
Calamia was one of the league's most productive hitters, in addition to providing gold glove-caliber defense in centerfield.
Calamia finished the regular season as the conference's hits leader, totaling 65. He finished with a .349 batting average and a team-best 110 total bases, including 25 extra base hits (13 doubles, four triples and eight home runs). He also led the league in sacrifice flies (7), ranked fourth in triples (4), seventh in stolen bases (20) and ninth in RBIs (45).
He is one of just 33 players in program history to reach 100 career RBI.
Morris was the Raiders' ironman, starting 39 games of SU's 49 games behind home plate. Despite the strenuous workload, Morris still managed to post a team-best .359 batting average, including a .398 average against conference opponents. He also led the Raiders in on-base plus slugging (OPS) at 1.009 and contributed five home runs.
Hinds batted .312 and posted a .978 fielding percentage as the Raiders' shortstop, recording just four errors in 178 total chances – including just one error in East play. He was second on the team in hits (53) and stolen bases (15).
Robinson finished the regular season red hot, not allowing a run in last seven appearances and saving the Raiders' last five victories. His eight saves rank third in the PSAC and fourth all-time in SU single season history, while his ERA sits at 2.45 for the season.
Wenrich was the Raiders' top power bat in 2025, ranking fifth in the conference with 12 home runs. He also posted a .319 batting average while alternating between third base and the corner outfield spots defensively.
Rounding out the 2025 PSAC Eastern Division major award winners were Mansfield's Jacob Houtz (Athlete of the Year), West Chester's Caleb Strawhecker (Freshman of the Year) and Millersville head coach (Coach of the Year).
