Kaitlin Calvello placed fourth at the completion of the "orange" section of the heptathlon Friday as she represented the Shippensburg University women's outdoor track & field team in two days of competition at the Susquehanna River Hawk Multi.
 
Calvello posted a score of 3,552 points as she completed her first collegiate outdoor multi competition.
 
She began her Friday with a fourth-place long jump of 16 feet, 0 ¼ inches (4.88 meters). Calvello also competed in the javelin and the outdoor 800 meters for the first time.
 
Shippensburg begins three days of competition at Bucknell tomorrow at noon. The Bison Outdoor Classic takes place Saturday through Monday at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
