Kaitlin Calvello represented the Shippensburg University women's outdoor track & field team on a rainy Thursday afternoon by completing four of the first seven events of the heptathlon in action at the Susquehanna River Hawk Multi.
 
Calvello sits in third place out of 13 competitors in the "orange" section of the heptathlon – the field consists of nine Division II athletes and four Division III athletes. She has totaled 2,160 points.
 
Among her Thursday highlights included Top 4 finishes in the high jump, shot and 200 meters. Her 100-meter hurdle time was 17.86 seconds, and her 200-meter time was 27.93 seconds.
 
Calvello resumes competition at 11 a.m. Friday.
