The Shippensburg University men's swimming team posted second-place finishes in the bookend relays Saturday as it wrapped up its weekend with two more timed finals sessions at the annual Gettysburg Invitational.
 
The day began with Mason Koeth, Kiran George, Josh Einolf and Robbie Ferlick completing the 200-yard medley relay in 1:33.43.
 
The evening ended with Koeth, Josh Wall, Mason Hockenberry and Ferlick swimming 3:05.96 in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
 
Einolf paced the Raiders in three events, finishing third in 100-yard butterfly (49.61 seconds), and eighth in the 200-yard butterfly (2:03.17) while also completing an exhibition swim of 53.48 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke.
 
Those were three of Shippensburg's 11 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships qualifying cuts on the day. Wall paced the Raiders in the 100-yard freestyle with a sixth-place time of 46.80 seconds and was one second behind Einolf in the 100-yard butterfly with a sixth-place time of 50.61 seconds.

Einolf tied his 100-fly PR that ranks second all-time at Shippensburg. Wall's effort in the 100-yard butterfly puts him in the Top 10 and ranks fifth all-time in school history. 
 
Koeth and Connor Ludwig finished eighth and ninth behind Wall in the 100-yard freestyle and were within .08 seconds of each other (47.07 seconds and 47.19 seconds).
 
Kye Winslow was the Raider pacesetter in the 200-yard backstroke, swimming 2:01.90. Alex Kissinger took the honor in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:47.35. Both swims were 10th-place finishes.
 
Ethan Dismuke and Carter Hawkes endured the 1,650-yard freestyle and finished consecutively in seventh and eighth place. Dismuke's time was 17:16.86.
 
Hawkes, who swam 17:19.22, finished fifth in the 100-yard backstroke with a PSAC cut of 54.81 seconds.   
 
Shippensburg will break for final exams and the holidays. Its next meet will be Senior Day on Friday, Jan. 9 – a home meet against Edinboro at Donald N. Miller Pool.
