The Shippensburg University wrestling team began its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) dual meet schedule Monday night with a 27-9 loss to Millersville at Pucillo Gymnasium.
Shippensburg (1-3, 0-1 PSAC) earned three decisions on the night. The first was at 149 pounds, with
Mike Trainor winning 5-3 over Daniel Sinclair. Trainor used a first-period takedown and a riding-time advantage to come out on top.

Nick Delp scored a 6-3 decision over Chase Bish at 165. Delp scored a takedown in the first period and posted an escape in the second period after starting on the bottom to lead 4-0. Delp was taken down early in the third period but escaped and accrued a riding-time advantage en route to the win. He is now 9-0 to start the season.
Anthony DeAngelo returned to the mat and scored an 8-5 decision at 174 pounds that brought the Raiders within eight points of the Marauders with three bouts remaining. DeAngelo led 4-2 after an eventful first period in which he recorded a takedown and was reversed but earned an escape. Leading 5-3 in the third period, DeAngelo scored a second takedown to gain the decisive advantage.
Millersville (2-0, 1-0) scored bonus points in three of its seven wins to claim the dual meet. No. 11 Nick Cottone scored a technical fall at 133 pounds as the Marauders raced out to a 12-0 advantage. Among the several close matches was a win at 197 pounds for Avery Aurand, who used a third-period reversal to win 3-2.
Shippensburg returns to action Friday, Dec. 5 at Pitt-Johnstown.
