SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University field hockey team will host Bloomsburg at 4 p.m. Tuesday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship Quarterfinal matchup at Robb Sports Complex.

Shippensburg is in the PSAC Tournament for the 24th consecutive season and for the 34th time in school history.

Overall, SU is 20-30 all-time in the PSAC Tournament. 2025 marks the 46th PSAC Tournament in league history.

Tuesday marks the first time that Shippensburg is in the PSAC Quarterfinals since 2019. Overall, it is just the fifth time that the Raiders are playing in a PSAC Quarterfinal (the PSAC Quarterfinals began in 2012 when the league playoffs expanded to six teams).

Shippensburg is 2-2 in PSAC Quarterfinals, all of which were played at Robb Sports Complex. Included in those results is a 2015 overtime loss and a 2018 overtime win against the Huskies. SU's suffered a 2-1 double-overtime loss to Millersville in 2019 and defeated Slippery Rock 1-0 in 2014.

Shippensburg (14-3) vs. Bloomsburg (13-4)

It will be the second meeting of the season between the Raiders and the Huskies. On Oct. 18, the two teams played 80 minutes of scoreless field hockey before Bloomsburg claimed a shootout victory on its home turf.

It is the second straight season that the teams are meeting in the PSAC Tournament. Last year, in an absolutely riveting Semifinal at Shippensburg, the Raiders rallied late and earned a 2-1 victory in overtime.

PSAC Tournament history between the teams: This will be the 15th time that the Raiders and Huskies are meeting in the PSAC Tournament. Bloomsburg holds a 10-4 overall record in the series, with Shippensburg having won the last two (2024 semifinals, 2018 quarterfinals) – both in overtime.

Overall series history between the teams: Shippensburg's loss to Bloomsburg in October ended an 11-game winning streak over the Huskies that was the longest stretch of Raider success in the storied history between the two teams. Prior to that game, Bloomsburg's last win over the Raiders was its PSAC Quarterfinal triumph in 2015. Tuesday will be the 77th all-time matchup between the two teams, with the Huskies holding a 45-30-1 series advantage.

Great goaltending: Shippensburg's Emma Albee leads the nation with 10 shutouts this season, while Bloomsburg's Maura Greek ranks second with nine. Albee ranks fourth in the nation with a 0.63 GAA, while Greek is seventh (0.85). Both goalies have played every minute in goal this season for their respective teams. Greek made nine saves in the Bloomsburg victory in October, while Albee only had to make two in 80 minutes. Last season, Bloomsburg's Jackie Nevel was sensational in her two games against the Raiders, totaling 24 saves (including 13 in the PSAC Semifinals).
