SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's swimming team won both of its relays for the third straight meet to start the season and
Robbie Ferlick went 3-for-3 on Tuesday night as the Raiders opened their home schedule by dropping a dual meet to IUP, 129-74.
Ferlick won the 50-yard freestyle with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships qualifying-time of 21.97 seconds while anchoring the victorious 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
SU began the night with

Kiran George,
Josh Einolf and Ferlick winning the 200-yard medley relay in 1:36.08.
Mason Hockenberry,
Josh Wall, Einolf and Ferlick ended the night with a riveting victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay, out-touching the Crimson Hawks by .05 seconds with a winning time of 1:26.73.
George had a strong finish in the 200-yard breaststroke; he was the runner-up in the event with a time of 2:20.95. Einolf took second in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:03.85.
In the 200-yard backstroke, Herman,
Kye Winslow and
Cooper Mercer all finished within .32 seconds of each other – Herman's second-place time was 2:06.13.
Shippensburg returns to action in 10 days when it heads to Fairmont State for a dual meet with the Fighting Falcons on Friday, Oct. 17.
