The Shippensburg University football team dropped a 49-0 decision at No. 4 Kutztown on Saturday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup at Andre Reed Stadium.

Shippensburg (1-4, 1-1 PSAC East) managed just 94 yards of offense against the nation's No. 9-ranked total defense. Kutztown (5-0, 2-0) led 21-0 at halftime and used big plays in the second half to pull away.

Defensively,
Ely Ghameshlougy totaled nine tackles for the second straight game. One of his stops was an eight-yard tackle-for-loss (TFL).
Alex Sauve added eight tackles.

Nate Myers and
Connor Black each had six tackles. Black had two of SU's six TFLs on the day and the team's only sack.

Tom Smyser registered his first three collegiate receptions, including a 12-yard gainer on SU's second play from scrimmage. Eight different Raiders finished the day with at least one reception.
Ethan Arneson had 30 rushing yards.

Kutztown quarterback Judd Novak finished the day 18-of-25 for 287 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Steven Burkhardt ran for 146 yards and two touchdowns.

Shippensburg hosts Millersville at 1 p.m. next Saturday at Seth Grove Stadium.
