SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's swimming team had its second competition in as many days Saturday as it hosted first-year program Pitt-Johnstown for a dual meet at Donald N. Miller Pool.
 
Shippensburg served as the host for what was basically a friendly, as the Mountain Cats currently have two women's swimmers and two men's swimmers. There were no relays as a result, and the majority of the Raider swims were recorded as exhibitions.
 
Among the Raider pacesetters on the day was Olivia Carver, whose time of 2:18.37 in the 200-yard butterfly satisfied the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships qualifying standards.
 
Ella Nick delivered the fastest times in the 50-yard freestyle (25.80 seconds) and the 100-yard freestyle (58.92 seconds). Carver also paced the field in the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.00) and also swam the 100-yard backstroke in 1:05.69.
 
Bria Burkholder had the top time in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.43), while Caroline Schweigert finished first in the 200-yard backstroke (2:23.27).
 
Kaitlyn Tannenhaus was the first to touch the wall in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.17) while Charlee Shaw had the fastest performance in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:41.36).
 
Other pacesetters included Zoë Midura (1:02.68 in the 100 fly), Makennah Fickett (5:38.54 in the 500 free) and Elyse Arnold in the 200 IM (2:24.01).
 
Shippensburg returns to action Friday, Nov. 7 at Clarion.
