SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University football team had three of its players named Tuesday afternoon to the 2024 Division II Academic All-District ® Team, an award that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
Karim Brice is an academic sophomore who is double-majoring in marketing and information systems & analytics. The Bethlehem native entered the fall semester with a 3.74 cumulative grade point average (GPA).
Ryan Orr is an academic senior who is majoring in exercise science (human performance & fitness concentration) and seeking minors in coaching and psychology. The Thurmont, Md. native entered the fall semester with a 3.56 cumulative GPA.
Josh Waite is an academic senior who is majoring in finance. The Roaring Spring native entered the fall semester with a 3.90 GPA.
All three men are first-time honorees.
The Academic All-District ® Team is coordinated by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
In the sport of football, eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
