The Shippensburg University wrestling team returned to action following the winter break by splitting four dual meets in jam packed Saturday of wrestling at the Manganaro Duals hosted by Ursinus College.
 
Shippensburg (5-6) picked up wins over Southern Maine, 25-20, and New England College, 30-24. Loses came to Trinity College, 25-18, and Rhode Island College, 34-13.
 
Both Raider victories came in come from behind fashion, as SU's middle and upper weights erased a 17-0 deficit against Southern Maine and a 24-3 shortfall against New England.
 
Junior Kyler Everly went 3-0 wrestling at 165 pounds, earning bonus points in two of his victories.
 
Redshirt-sophomore Mike Trainor, junior Trey Shoemaker, junior Owen Koch and sophomore Diesel Koser went 3-1 on the day.
 
Koser earned pins in all three of his wins at 197 pounds, giving him a team-best seven pins on the season.
 
Junior Anthony Lavish racked up a key 20-11 major decision over 157-pound wrestler Silas Runez in SU's dual meet win over Southern Maine, while sophomore 133-pounder AJ Stayton picked up a pin over Rhode Island College's Kwesi Amoa.
 
Senior heavyweight Connor Livingston registered a forfeit win in SU's dual meet victory over New England College.
 
Up next, the Raiders return to Heiges Field House for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) dual versus Seton Hill Tuesday at 7 p.m.
