SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University Women's Tennis freshman
Janelle Kingsboro was named a 2024 Division II Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete, and the Women's Tennis team was tabbed an 2024 Division II Women's ITA All-Academic Team Tuesday.
Student-athletes must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year to be considered for the ITA Scholar-Athlete award.
Kingsboro, in addition to her classwork, competed in two singles matches and four doubles matches for the Raiders during her debut season
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above.
In 2024, 759 Division II women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 112 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
