Three Raiders named to 2024 Division II Academic All-District ® Baseball Team

Andrew Chronister, Ethan Miller, Gabe Stotler recognized for academic achievement

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University student-athletes Andrew Chronister, Ethan Miller and Gabe Stotler were named Tuesday to the 2024 Division II Academic All-District ® Baseball Team, an award that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
 
Chronister is a senior history major seeking a social studies teaching certification who has maintained a 3.884 grade point average (GPA). A four-year starter and one of the top defensive catchers in program history, Chronister posted career highs in batting average (.296), on base percentage (.382), slugging (.366) and OPS (.748) in 2024.
 
Miller is a senior supply chain management major with a concentration in logistics management and a 3.53 GPA. An All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PASC) Second Team selection as a relief pitcher, Miller finished among the league's leaders in saves (6) and posted a career-best 2.93 earned run average (ERA).
 
Stotler is a senior computer engineering major with a 3.718 GPA. On the mound, the right-hander pitched to a 4.34 ERA in nine appearances for the Raiders, including seven starts.
 
Miller and Stotler each participated in SU's undergraduate commencement ceremony in May, while Chronister is set to take part in a student teaching practicum this fall.
 
The Academic All-District ® Team is selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). The three Raiders are now among those eligible for consideration for the Academic All-America ® Team that will be announced July 2.
