Dustin Sleva '18 with join Turkish club Besiktas Emlakjet Istanbul for the 2024-25 season, as announced Wednesday.
"[Istanbul] is an amazing place to be and it is a historic team," Sleva said.
Sleva is coming off the heels of a historic run with UCAM Murcia, earlier this month helping the Spanish club reach its first-ever Liga Endesa final.
In 45 games in Spain, Sleva averaged 9.6 points and 4.8 rebounds and was named the Liga Endesa Rookie of the Year for the 2023-24 season.
Besiktas competes in the Turkish Basketball Super League, the top level of Turkish hoops, and also competed in EuroCup – the second highest level of European basketball competition, behind only EuroLeague. They placed third in the Turkish Super League standings last season.
Sleva remains the all-time leading scorer (2,071 points) and rebounder (1,140 rebounds) at Shippensburg.
A program-changing player for the Raiders, Sleva helped SU ascend from a 13-win team during his freshman season to campaigns of 27 and 25-wins in his final two years, including a PSAC title-winning season in 2016-17.
