The Shippensburg University women's outdoor track & field team had an especially productive Sunday at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Challenge, achieving numerous season bests in its final road trip of the season.

The 4x100-meter relay of Aliyah Serrano, Sara McKean, Kayla Dalhouse and Leah Graybill posted a third-place finish of 46.55 seconds, a performance that satisfies the NCAA provisional qualifying standard. SU only trailed Penn State (45.64 seconds) and Binghamton (46.48 seconds) while defeating the host Bison (fourth place, 46.57 seconds).

The time is just .22 seconds off the school record set last season by the same quartet. The Raiders were not able to compete in the meet-concluding 4x400-meter relay as a thunderstorm and lightning ended the meet during the 3K.

Individually, Graybill finished second in the 200 meters with a NCAA provisional time of 24.16 seconds, trailing only Cornell's Imani Reid (23.93 seconds). Graybill beat Mansfield's Skylar Brown by .07 seconds, and the duo now sit 1-2 atop the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) leaderboard.

Graybill placed fourth in the 100 meters, running 11.88 seconds – just one-hundredth of a second of her season best. She sits second on the leaderboard behind Brown, who ran 11.76 seconds. Serrano moved to fourth in the league in the 100, running 12.15 seconds, and fourth in the league in the 200, running 24.95 seconds.

Caroline Mastria improved to second in the league in the 400 meters (trailing only Graybill) with a time of 56.54 seconds. Alyssa Wert achieved a new PR by running 58 seconds flat, which puts her seventh in the league.

Kelsey Hull improved her season best in the 800 meters to 2:20.10, which ranks fifth in the conference. Hull was just a half-second off her PR.

Madison Malcolm improved her PR in the 400-meter hurdles to 1:03.70, which puts her atop the conference leaderboard. Melanie Barger ran 1:04.63, just .08 seconds off her season best.

Sasha Lee finished third in the 100-meter hurdles, running 14.31 seconds (just .09 seconds shy of the NCAA provisional standard). She sits second in the PSAC behind Seton Hill All-American multi Natasha Bernett, who ran 13.82 seconds this weekend at UVA. Ryleigh Marks remains third on the league leaderboard; her time Sunday of 14.65 seconds is just .09 seconds off her season best.

Lee now leads the PSAC in the triple jump, with her top mark Sunday being a sixth-place effort of 39 feet, 2 ¼ inches.

Carissa Bender improved her outdoor best to 11 feet, 7 ¾ inches, which is tied for fifth in the PSAC. The jump ranks sixth all-time in school history.

Abby Reasoner had a huge breakthrough in the javelin, as her fifth-place throw of 144 feet, 8 inches is a huge new personal best. Reasoner ranks second in the PSAC behind IUP freshman Kaylia Williams, who threw 152 feet, 11 inches to finish in third place. Reasoner's throw ranks fourth all-time in school history.

Hannah Cassner's top throw traveled 136 feet, while Katie Mancino was just four inches off her season best with a throw of 122 feet, 10 inches.

Shippensburg is now at home for the rest of the season. SU hosts the Mid-Week Invitational this Wednesday, followed by the Paul Kaiser Classic on April 27, and the 2024 PSAC Outdoor Championships from May 3-5.
