Game One: SU 8, HFU 2
Â
SU used six runs through the first three innings to build a comfortable lead and cruised to an 8-2 victory over the Tigers.

A quick rally started with a Hinds leadoff double that got the Raiders on the board in the bottom of the first. SU loaded the bases with one out to set up a two-run single by Calamia.
Â
The Raiders picked up a big 6-0 lead after a four-run third inning. Byler singled and Baal walked to get two runners on base. A double by Chronister brought home both runners, and a triple by Calamia in the next at-bat scored Byler. Graduate

Holy Family chased junior
Jaxon Dalena with two runs in the fourth inning but the Raider starter had a strong outing; he struck out eight over 3.2 innings and allowed just one hit and walked three. The Tiger runs came on a throwing error and a wild pitch.
Â
Hinds doubled again to leadoff the fourth inning. Walks from graduate
Justin Byler and sophomore
Mike Heckman loaded the bases. The Tigers rolled a double play for two quick outs but scored Hinds. An infield hit by Chronister brought Heckman home for an 8-2 lead.

Â
Baal led off the seventh inning, demolishing a solo shot to right field to put SU up 2-0. The Raiders looked for more insurance, loading the bases with their next three at-bats. Harbach came up to bat, singling through the middle to bring in two more runs for a 4-0 advantage.
